Ready To Go

We are packed up and are ready to go to the Dallas-Fort Worth airport to fly to New Zealand via Los Angeles. After arriving in Auckland we will pick up a small RV and go RVing in a campervan for 7 weeks around the North and South Islands with a side trip to Stewart Island. After touring New Zealand we fly on our 45th wedding anniversary to Sydney, Australia where we will travel by train and car in the Sydney, Brisbane, and Canberra areas for 2 weeks. After celebrating New Years Eve watching the fireworks in Sydney we will return back to Texas on the 4th of January.

You can follow our travels by checking this blog (journal) every few days and see our latest entries (the latest entry will be first). We will add entries with our travel info and pictures every couple of days when we have an Internet connection.

Delighted you are in NZ - we enjoyed every day of our 6 months there. In separate comment will describe our favorite NZ hike.

We were very glad to join the NZMCA (NZ Motor Carravan Association). It provided us a discount on buying diesel. Best of all, we got to visit NZ campers at their homes and park overnight. That service is called POP" = Park Over Properties.

The club office is in Aukland; check phone book. You might be able to pay on phone and arrange to have club POP book and other documents mailed to a POP host a week ahead on your travels. Their phone WAS: 9-2985466.
